My friend’s son, Sean, threw up a tantrum as the three of us were walking down together in the mall. He lay down on the floor, his legs and hands kicking wildly in the air and he lay there howling and crying demanding an expensive toy. After wasting half an hour, trying everything she could do to dissuade him from buying, she ended up buying the toy again for him.
This made me think.
These days, children have a right to the toys, the books, the clothes, the comforts of A.C. and cars but do they value these? They live a life of ‘entitlement’.
Are we upbringing an entire generation of ‘Have Alls’ who are unaware of the difficulties and struggles of life?
